Agents in your engineering workflow

Reviews, security patches and triage, with engineers approving what merges.

Where to start

Start with the work nobody wants: reviewing every pull request within minutes, upgrading vulnerable packages, triaging the errors that arrive overnight. Each is one job with one tool, and each has an obvious approval: the merge.

What the fleet needs

Access to your code host and your issue tracker, with the permissions you choose. Read access on day one, then write access to open pull requests, never the ability to merge without an engineer.

The supervisor’s job

The Engineering Manager agent tracks each specialist’s numbers, routes the exceptions to an engineer and can roll a change back. It is the agent that pings Tom at 08:00 with the two things that need him, not the twelve that do not.

Reading the week

Serious issues open, median time to a fix, what merged without a person and what did not. The fleet’s app shows all four. Read it on Monday and decide what the fleet may do alone next week.
